Brijeg od Budva beach, as the locals have called it for decades, rests on the very walls of the Old Town. The popular “Richard’s Head” is named after the actor Richard Widmark, who filmed the film “Long Ships” in Budva 50 years ago.
In the summer months, in the morning and early evening, it is a quiet oasis, and in the afternoon it is known as a favorite beach of young people, with daily parties in the surrounding coffee bars and on the beach itself. The beach has a special charm in the period outside the tourist season, when it becomes one of the rare places where you can enjoy a leisurely coffee on the sea foam with a view of the open sea. The beach is pebbly and about 100 meters long.
